Get to know: Domaine Moingeon Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru La Garenne 2024
An elegant and mineral-driven Burgundy white wine from the high-sloping vineyards of Puligny-Montrachet in the Côte de Beaune.
Tasting Note
Domaine Moingeon Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru La Garenne 2024 is a precise, classic Chardonnay that shows all the tension and finesse you’d expect from this elevated Premier Cru site. Pale lemon in colour with green highlights, it opens with aromas of white flowers, lemon zest, green apple, and crushed limestone. On the palate, it’s taut and focused, combining bright citrus and orchard fruit with a fine, chalky minerality and mouthwatering acidity. The finish is long, saline, and beautifully clean. This is a refined Puligny-Montrachet that balances immediate charm with real ageing potential.
Top food pairings:
- Grilled turbot or Dover sole with beurre blanc
- Roast chicken with lemon and thyme
- Comté or other nutty alpine cheeses
Kate Says
"This is proper, higher-altitude Puligny – all precision, lifted acidity, and quiet confidence. A wine for when you want elegance rather than volume."
