Kate Says
"The most well-known white wine from Piedmont. Lovely and fresh, minerally and citrussy. A great apéritif wine to drink with friends or with lighter fish dishes."
Producer Info
Tenuta de Melo is a family-run organic estate in Piedmont, Northern Italy. The Cortese vines used for this Gavi grow on gently sloping hillsides, where they soak up the sun during the day and cool off at night – ideal conditions for producing fresh, aromatic whites with lively acidity and depth of flavour.
The grapes are harvested by hand and gently pressed, with fermentation taking place in stainless steel to preserve their delicate aromas. The wine then rests briefly on fine lees, adding a touch of texture and roundness without compromising that signature Gavi crispness.
