Saint-Jean de Villecroze Blanc 2024

Get to know: Saint-Jean de Villecroze Blanc 2024

A vibrant and elegant Provence white wine from the classic vineyards of the Côtes de Provence.

Tasting Note

Saint-Jean de Villecroze Blanc 2024 is a fresh, expressive white that strikes a lovely balance between ripe fruit and crisp acidity. Clear and bright in colour, it opens with aromatic notes of elderflower, mandarin zest, and a hint of ripe nectarine from the Rolle (Vermentino) grape. On the palate, this is rounded yet lively, offering juicy stone fruit flavours, citrus lift, and a gentle floral edge. It finishes with a clean, refreshing line of acidity that keeps everything in check. A polished and approachable Côtes de Provence white with plenty of character.

Top food pairings:

  • Provençal vegetable tart or savoury pie
  • Roast chicken with lemon and herbs
  • Tuna tartare or grilled seafood
Kate Says

"I love how this balances a bit of generosity with that fresh, citrusy lift – it’s got enough weight for food but still feels bright and easy. A great one to have on hand for relaxed dinners."

Producer Info

Domaine Saint Jean de Villecroze is a respected and historic estate in Provence, with roots stretching back to antiquity and a winemaking heritage influenced by both Roman and Templar history. Located in the Haut Var between the Alps and the Mediterranean, the vineyards benefit from a unique microclimate where warm sunshine is tempered by cooling winds like the Mistral. This natural balance supports low-intervention viticulture and a gradual move towards organic farming, producing expressive and authentic Provence wines.

How it’s made:

  • Varieties: 100% Rolle (Vermentino)
  • Hand-harvested at night to preserve freshness and aromatic purity
  • Gentle pressing of destemmed grapes at low temperature
  • Fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks
  • Short maturation to retain freshness and enhance natural texture

Good to know:

  • Region: Côtes de Provence, France
  • Style: White, still, dry and fresh
  • Closure: Cork
  • Vegan: No
  • ABV: 13%
  • Vintage: 2024

Why we love it:

This Provence white wine delivers a brilliant mix of ripe stone fruit, citrus freshness, and subtle floral notes. It’s a versatile, food-friendly style that works just as well with Mediterranean dishes as it does as an easy aperitif.
