A very fresh and aromatic Spanish Sauvignon Blanc with a nice intensity of tropical fruit, floral blossom notes and a hint of almond nuttiness. On the palate it is round and fruity with balanced acidity keeping it refreshing leading to a persistent finish.
Try this with pizza or a few plates of tapas.
Bodegas Alceño have operated as a traditional family winery since 1870. Located in the middle of Jumilla, a wine region in Southeastern Spain located in the province of Murica. They pride themselves on being the first winery to market wines in Jumilla.
They have a production capacity of 3.5 million litres, of which 75% is stored in concrete, 15% oak and 5% stainless steel. The part of their winery founded in 1870 still has original barrels and cones used since the year of foundation.
For this Sauvignon Blanc fruit is sourced from the highest area of the D.O.. Here they use trellised vineyards, that are irrigated to maintain acidity and freshness and balance. The production is done at low temperatures to preserve the primary aromas and obtain a good aromatic intensity.
