Tikves, Smederevka 2024

Get to know: Tikveš Smederevka 2024

A bright, refreshing white from one of Europe’s lesser-known but most exciting wine regions.

Tasting Note

Tikveš Smederevka is easy-drinking, aromatic and zesty - ideal for warm evenings, sharing plates and sunny moods. Pale lemon in the glass with lifted aromas of tropical fruit, peach and citrus zest. Light-bodied and crisp with a clean, vibrant finish. It’s a super-refreshing style with just enough fruit to keep you coming back for more.

Top food pairings:

  • Fresh tomato and feta salad (vegetarian)
  • Grilled prawns with lemon and herbs
  • Soft cheeses like Mozzarella or young goat’s cheese
Kate Says

"Smederevka might be new to you, but it’s a local favourite in North Macedonia. This is great value, fresh, crunchy, mineral with some lovely ripe apple fruit. Great with light bites or on its own."

Producer Info

Tikveš Winery has been making wine since 1885 and remains one of the leading producers in North Macedonia. Their focus is on showcasing indigenous grape varieties from sustainably managed vineyards.
