Tasting Note

Classic Rhone blend of Grenache, Cinsault and Syrah. Bright red fruit, soft, supple and fleshy with notes of crushed raspberries, black olive, pepper, lavender and wild herbs. It is very approachable making it great with food or on its own.

Try with lamb chops.

Kate Says

"This is a great Rhone blend that is really quite yummy and well balanced. It has a ripe red fruit character, very soft, mild tannins, that make it really quite quaffable. Enjoy this with a little charcuterie."

Producer Info

Benjamin Farjon’s ancestors trace their arrival in this region of the southern Rhone back to 1720 when the family escaped the plague then raging in the city of Marseilles, founded as Massilia over 2500 years ago by Phocaean Greek colonists from the coast of Asia Minor. The family roots are so firmly implanted here that they have even given the name to their little hamlet north of Uchaux around which their parcels of vines now total some 50 hectares. As usual in this part of the world, the principal variety is Grenache and they even have an old parcel of relatively rare ‘Grenache Gris’. Other varieties include Cinsault, Syrah, Mourvedre and Carignan for their red wines.
