Bollinger Special Cuvee NV

Get to know: Bollinger Special Cuvee NV

Tasting Note

The name of Bollinger’s emblematic champagne encapsulates its history. It was the British agent of Georges Bollinger who, in 1911, christened it “Special Cuvée”, as he found the expression “non-vintage brut” did not befit a champagne of such subtlety. The wine is a precise blend of several harvests fruit and reserve wines, which lend the wine all its structure and style. The nose has a beautiful aromatic complexity with ripe fruit and spicy aromas; hints of roasted apples, compote and peaches. The palate has a subtle combination of structure, length and vivacity; a soft texture and flavours of pear, brioche and spicy aromas with notes of fresh walnut.

A wine to enjoy as an aperitif.

Please note if you are buying this wine as a gift this bottle is too wide to fit into our wooden gift boxes. It will fit inside the navy card boxes.

Kate Says

A classic champagne that offers a rich and complex taste. Aged for at least three years in the cellar it is a balanced and elegant wine that I'd enjoy with a seafood risotto.
