A serious treat for any red wine lover - 1 bottle of Domaine de la Cote de l'Ange, Chateauneuf-du-Pape Tradition from the Rhone Valley in France. The most famous appellation in the Rhone is Chateauneuf-Du-Pape (which translates as The Pope's New Castle) which can be made with up to 14 different grape varieties. The main ones are Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault and Mourvedre and they create big wines with lots of spicy dark fruits. Presented in a wooden gift box, this is a wonderful red wine gift.

A delicious red from Chateauneuf-du-Pape that delivers the quality you expect from this famous wine region. The aroma has blackcurrants, blackberries, oak, tobacco and violets which carry on to the palate. There's a good balance to the weight and texture which is full but not brawny. There's enough acidity, to give structure and noticable, but not chewy tannins on the flavoursome dry finish.
This would be terrific with a some roast lamb.
