Tenuta de Melo Gavi is a light-bodied, refreshing white that balances vibrant fruit with a crisp mineral edge. Straw yellow with greenish hints, it shows aromas of green apple, pear skin, honey, and candied citron. On the palate, it’s lively and dry, with fresh acidity and subtle almond notes on the finish. This Piedmont white wine is clean, classy, and immensely drinkable, making it perfect for both casual and celebratory occasions.

Tenuta de Melo is a family-run organic estate in Piedmont, Northern Italy. The Cortese vines grow on gently sloping hillsides, benefiting from warm days and cool nights – ideal for producing fresh, aromatic whites with lively acidity and depth of flavour. Careful hand harvesting, gentle pressing, and stainless steel fermentation preserve the delicate aromas, while a short period on fine lees adds texture and roundness without compromising the signature crispness of Gavi.

How it’s made:

  • Varieties: 100% Cortese
  • Hand-harvested mid-September to maintain freshness and aromatic intensity
  • Gently pressed to extract pure juice
  • Fermented in stainless steel tanks at controlled 18°C to preserve delicate aromas
  • Left on fine lees for 3 months before cold stabilisation and bottling
