Producer Info
Veuve Forny are a fifth generation producer who have been growing fruit on their vies since 1856. From Albert, the grand-father and his son Roger and Mme Veuve Fourny, they have inherited a know-how as well as old vineyards, including the Clos Faubourg Notre-Dame, a rarity in Champagne. They are proud to work with it as it has been a monopoly of the Fourny family since 1930.
Made using 100% Chardonnay fruit from Vertus Premier Cru and other Premiers Crus vinyards with over 40 year old vines that are farmed responsibly.
The first pressed juices spend 7 months on lees, with minimum use of sulphur. Vats 75%, oak casks 25%
The wine is unfiltered. The final wine is a blend of 3 consecutive Vintages and 20% of Reserve wines and is aged in bottle, on lees in our 19th century cellars with a low and constant temperature.
