Domaine Monplezy, Felicite Rouge 2022

Get to know: Domaine Monplézy, Félicité Red 2022

A brilliant and expressive Languedoc red wine from Pézenas, showcasing the rich Mediterranean character of Grenache, Syrah, and Carignan.

Tasting Note

Domaine Monplézy crafts this wine with care and respect for the vineyard, using organic, low-intervention practices that let the quality of the fruit shine through. The nose opens with liquorice and black pepper, followed by roasted notes of coffee and cocoa, reflecting the wine’s complexity. On the palate, it’s powerful, dense, and rounded, finishing velvety and smooth, with layers of ripe dark fruits, subtle earthiness, and aromatic intensity. Beautifully structured, it’s perfect for both everyday meals and special occasions.

Top food pairings:

  • Rack of salt-marsh lamb
  • Paella with Mediterranean seafood and spices
  • Local delicacies such as Le Banaja des Cévennes charcuterie
Kate Says

"Félicité Red is all about bold Mediterranean personality – It's dense, fruity, earthy, and aromatic with everything you could smell if you were there. It’s brilliant value, drinkable yet really interesting in the glass."
