Domaine Felettig, Chambolle-Musigny Vielles Vignes 2022

Get to know: Domaine Felettig Chambolle-Musigny Vieilles Vignes 2022

A beautifully refined Burgundy red wine from the heart of Chambolle-Musigny in the Côte de Nuits.

Tasting Note

Domaine Felettig Chambolle-Musigny Vieilles Vignes 2022 is an elegant, understated red that’s all about purity, balance and quiet confidence. Bright medium ruby in colour, it opens with lifted aromas of raspberry, cherry and redcurrant, layered with violet florals, gentle spice and a touch of liquorice. On the palate, this Burgundy red wine is medium-bodied and silky, with succulent red fruit, lively acidity and fine, well-knit tannins. It finishes long and mineral, with a graceful freshness that lingers. A textbook example of refined Chambolle-Musigny Pinot Noir, showing finesse over power. Just about ready to drink, but will develop well over the next 5-6 years.

Top food pairings:

  • Roast duck or guinea fowl
  • Grilled chicken with herbs
  • Mushroom-based dishes or pork loin
Kate Says

"Domaine Felettig are one of those growers who really get Chambolle-Musigny – nothing overworked, nothing flashy, just beautifully farmed vineyards and a light, confident hand in the cellar. This Vieilles Vignes has that effortless balance and perfume that keeps reminding you why Chambolle is so special."

Producer Info

Domaine Felettig is a long-established, family-run estate in Burgundy, with roots in Chambolle-Musigny dating back to the 1960s. Now run by the second generation, the domaine farms around 13 hectares across the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune, working organically by nature and with a deeply non-interventionist approach. Their philosophy is simple: respect the vineyard, harvest at the right moment, and let the terroir of Chambolle-Musigny speak clearly in the glass.

How it’s made:

  • Varieties: 100% Pinot Noir
  • Harvested by hand at optimal ripeness for balance and freshness
  • Cold pre-fermentation maceration for 6–7 days
  • Temperature-controlled fermentation with gentle pump-overs
  • Matured for 14–18 months in French oak barrels (around 30% new oak)

Good to know:

  • Region: Chambolle-Musigny, Côte de Nuits, Burgundy
  • Style: Red, still, medium-bodied
  • Closure: Cork
  • Vegan: Yes
  • ABV: 13%
  • Vintage: 2022

Why we love it:

This Chambolle-Musigny Burgundy red captures everything we love about great Pinot Noir – perfume, finesse and a silky texture that makes it a joy to drink. A serious yet approachable wine that shines at the table and rewards a bit of patience in the cellar.
