Beaujolais Nouveau is all about fun. Light and juicy wines bursting with ripe red berry fruit. This also has a little spicy, earthy notes and a lovely smooth minerality. A wine to be enjoyed lightly chilled with friends over some cheese or charcuterie. Landry Colonge says he has made a lovely Beaujolais in 2025, packed with fruit and which we are delighted to offer for the first time.

"Beaujolais Nouveau was traditionally made to celebrate the end of the harvest. Released on the third Thursday of November, this is always a light, fruity wine and is about as fresh a juice as you'll ever taste. Simple uncomplicated and fun to drink."

André Colonge is a 30-hectare domaine run by two brothers, Landry and Samuel, and their father Serge (who is now semi-retired). It was originally started by Andre’s grandfather. 7 of their hectares are in Fleurie and 18 are Beaujolais / Beaujolais Villages.
They have gone from strength to strength overs the generations. Landry has moved into his grandparents house and this is where their old cellars are located and where the wines are matured in a variety of concrete tanks. Just like they did some 40 years ago!
"2025 looks like being a fine vintage, super ripe grapes but depending on the situation of the vineyards and Cru, yields may be down by as much as a third. We now say almost every year that it is the year of the vigneron. The Beaujolais like all regions has had to cope with extreme heat, mildew and hail. The rains came unusually late in August when vintaging was about to start and only just finished today the 12th of September."
