Tasting Note
Traditional method Rose Champagne from a small eight-hectare vineyard. 36 months ageing on the lees to develop complexity and allow the various base wines to marry together. Floral and delicate on the nose with an notes of rose, fresh grapes and small red fruits. There's an explosion of fruit on the full-bodied palate where strawberries and raspberries dominate before ending with an elegant finish.
Serve as an aperitif at a temperature of between 6 and 8°C. It can also be served with a strawberry or fresh fruit salad.
Producer Info
The estate was created in the 1960's in Chateau-Thierry, by Robert Lété and Liliane Vautrain, his wife. They combined their surnames to create its brand. Their eight hectare vineyard, planted on limestone slopes, stretches across the town of Chateau-Thierry and the neighbouring village of Essomes-sur-Marne.
60% Meunier, 20% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Noir. Rosé blended with 15% red wine from Meunier and Pinot Noir grapes.
