Very limited quantities available of the 2nd edition of this very special series of rums from St. Lucia Distillers.
The casks for the second edition of 1931 were put down in 2004, 2005 and 2006. These included casks containing 100% Coffey Still distillates matured in a combination of American white oak casks and port casks. In addition, they selected casks with 100% pot still and 50/50 blends of Pot/Coffey Still aged in American white oak. The blend was assembled and then placed back into American white oak casks for a period of three months for a final marriage before being bottled. They have preserved the integrity of 1931 by using light filtration methods. As a result, 1931 may throw a sediment that is perfectly natural.

In 1931, a new distillery was commissioned in the Mabouya Valley near Dennery in St Lucia. The distillery was founded by Deni Barnard and produced rum until 1972 when St. Lucia Distillers was formed out of the merging of Dennery Distillery and the Roseau Distillery. 1931 celebrates this history and St. Lucia Distillers' commitment to world class, handmade rums, which has now lasted 81 years.
