Rioja received is denomination of origin on the 6th June,1925, and the first region in Spain to achieve DOCa status, in 1991. However, Rioja's winemaking history spans over 2000 years and produces a range of diverse ,expressive styles.
From vibrant, fruit-forward young wines to beautifully aged bottles with layers of spice and complexity, Rioja offers an incredible range of styles shaped by tradition, oak ageing and exceptional vineyards.
During this tasting we’ll guide you through a selection of wines that showcase the region’s character and craftsmanship, exploring the grapes, ageing classifications and winemaking techniques that make Rioja so distinctive.
A must for lovers of Spanish wine and anyone curious to explore the depth and history of this famous region.
