Vila Jardim White 2023

Get to know: Vila Jardim White

A bright and refreshing Portuguese white wine from the scenic Tagus Valley.

Tasting Note

Vila Jardim White is a vibrant and easy-drinking blend that balances zesty citrus with soft stone fruit character. Bright gold in colour with aromas of lemon zest, grapefruit, honeydew melon, chamomile, and subtle floral notes from Arinto and Síria grapes. On the palate, it’s crisp and lively, with Arinto providing fresh, citrussy lift and Síria adding juicy peach and melon flavours. It finishes with a clean, mineral-driven crispness. This Tagus white is a sophisticated yet approachable wine, perfect for those who enjoy fresh, aromatic whites.

Top food pairings:

  • Salt cod Bacalhau
  • Portuguese Piri Piri chicken
  • White asparagus risotto
Kate Says

"This is a very easy-going wine that's a good one to have on the wine rack for those moments that call for a glass of something. The name translates as Garden Village and we were impressed by the authentic quality of fruit and winemaking. Very good value."

Producer Info

Vila Jardim is produced by Quinta Vale do Armo, overlooking the curves of the Tagus River in central Portugal. The estate’s temperate climate, clay-limestone soils, and altitude of 150–250m above sea level give the wines their fruity, smooth character. As part of the Lindeborg Group, Quinta Vale do Armo focuses on sustainable viticulture and modern winemaking techniques, reflecting the true character of the Tejo region.

How it’s made:

  • Varieties: Arinto, Síria, Verdelho, Viosinho
  • Harvested early to preserve freshness and vibrant fruit character
  • Gentle pressing with partial stemming to extract pure juice
  • Fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks
  • Short lees contact to enhance texture and complexity
