A classic Rioja Reserva with a modern touch.
Wonderful Reserva Rioja. Complex and delicate with notes of prunes, figs and raisins along with dark cherries, plums and vanilla, cocoa. On the palate there's an easy sweetness to the fruit that makes it effortless to drink delivering ripe and dried fruit plus hints of eucalyptus, mineralilty, and coconut from the 22 months oak ageing and a further 12 months in bottle. This is tasty as soon as the cork it pulled, but decant for an hour before serving to really open up its complexities.

Founded in 1894, Bodegas Palacio is one of Rioja’s most historic producers, known for crafting wines with both tradition and precision.Glorioso is a historic range from the Entrecanales family started in 1917 and was one of the first Rioja brands to champion estate-grown, bottled-at-the-source wines – and that legacy of quality continues today. Their cellars in Laguardia, in Rioja Alavesa, produce wines with the freshness and elegance typical of this higher-altitude sub-region. Today it sits alongside the Cosme Palacio wines as part of this small to medium sized estate in Rioja Alavesa.
The winery have been on a course of serious investment in sustainability: solar powered winery, capture and reuse of rainwater, minimal sprays (only when needed, and Rioja is not an easy place to avoid disease and rot etc), investing in their communities and their workforce.
