Get to know: Baglio, Antico Catarratto
Tasting Note
Italian orange wine made up of 100% Catarratto which spends a few weeks macerating with its skins to extract, colour, flavour and texture during wild yeast fermentation. The wine is bottled without fining or filtration and with low sulphur and they use Organic practices in the vineyards. The wine itself has a lovely pithy texture, full of ginger, sweet spices and savoury herbs.
Pair this with a cauliflower and apricot vegetable tagine.
Kate Says
"This has quickly become one of our bestselling orange wines. It is a great introduction to the style. It has the pithiness you expect, along with some bright apple and apricot fruit and a spicy finish. Enjoy this with friends over sharing platters of food."
