Ciu Ciu, Bianco Falerio "Oris" 2024

Get to know: Ciu Ciu Falerio Bianco "Oris"

Tasting Note

Ciu Ciu Bianco Falerio “Oris” 2024 is a crisp, clean and utterly refreshing Italian white wine that delivers way more than you’d expect for the price. Made in the hills of the Marche region, not far from the Adriatic coast, this is a bright, easy-drinking blend of Trebbiano, Passerina and Pecorino (the grape, not the cheese).

It opens with citrus blossom, white peach and green apple on the nose, followed by zesty lemon peel and a touch of almond on the palate. Dry and light-bodied, with just enough texture to keep it interesting, it’s the kind of white that makes you want to open another bottle.

Top food pairings:

  • Spaghetti with lemon, parsley and olive oil
  • Fresh crab or prawns with a squeeze of lemon
  • Cheese: soft goat’s cheese or young pecorino

The perfect fridge-door white – fresh, uncomplicated and always welcome.

Kate Says

“This is sunshine in a glass. Ciu Ciu Falerio is the white wine I reach for when I want something fresh and unfussy, but with a bit of Italian soul. Pour it with seafood, salads, or nothing at all – it’s that good.”

Producer Info

Ciu Ciu (pronounced choo-choo) is a family-run organic winery established in 1970 by husband and wife Natalino and Anna Bartolomei based in Offida, Marche – a stunning hillside town surrounded by vines and olive groves. They focus on native Italian grapes and sustainable farming, making wines that are honest, expressive, and incredibly good value. Ciu Ciu white wine like this Falerio is all about laid-back pleasure. Seabreezes coming from the east blow on the vines to create conditions for even ripening fruit. Ciu Ciu‘s organic wines are the pure expression of care and tradition. They are the result of research and quality both in vineyards and cellar.

How it’s made:

  • Grown in organically farmed vineyards close to the Adriatic coast
  • Grapes are picked early to keep natural acidity
  • Fermented in stainless steel for pure, clean flavours
  • No oak, no fuss – just bright, fresh fruit
  • Vegan-friendly and certified organic
  • Grapes: Trebbiano, Passerina, Pecorino
