Join us for a relaxed and flavour-packed journey through South Africa’s dynamic wine scene, from coastal freshness to bold, sun-soaked reds.

Hosted at the Picturedrome in Macclesfield, this guided tasting explores a handpicked selection of South African wines that showcase the country’s diversity, creativity and value. Expect everything from bright, expressive Chenin Blanc to rich, characterful reds – all with a story to tell.

South Africa continues to be one of the most exciting wine-producing countries in the world, blending old vine heritage with modern winemaking flair. This is a great opportunity to explore the styles, regions and producers putting it firmly on the map.

Wines featured on the night include:

  • McFarlane Capitoline Wolf Blend – a bold, characterful red blend showing dark fruit, spice and a modern South African edge
  • Glenwood Chardonnay – elegant and balanced, with ripe citrus, gentle oak and a fresh, refined finish
  • Dornier Cocoa Hill Chenin Blanc – vibrant and expressive, with notes of orchard fruit, citrus and a touch of honeyed richness
  • Alto Rouge – a classic Cape Bordeaux-style blend, offering structure, depth and layers of dark fruit and savoury spice
  • Forager – an approachable, fruit-forward wine celebrating South Africa’s natural abundance and easy-drinking charm
