This tasty natural wine is a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. It's all about the pure clean fruit and it is packed full of bramble fruit notes with raspberry and blackberry dominating the aroma. The Cramele Recas Estate, owned by Englishman, Philip Cox and his Romanian wife Elvira, have put in a huge amount of work into transforming their slice of grape growing history into a contemporary winemaking haven.
Grapes were destemmed, lightly crushed and then macerated for 5 days on the skins. No additives at all were used in the winery. After 10 days on skins the free run wine was drained, and the free run juice fermented, after which there was a full natural malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks.
