A bright and expressive white that brings together Old World roots and New World energy.
Domaine Gayda's southern French style meets New Zealand intensity in a wonderfully fresh and appealing Sauvignon at an incredible price. Straight off, the nose shows what this grape’s all about – ripe and full of sunshine, with lovely aromas of zesty lemon, fresh apricot, and a hint of acacia. There’s also a bit of boxwood and some tropical fruit notes that make it really interesting. On the palate, it’s rich and smooth with a great structure. Full-bodied and generous, the finish brings in exotic pineapple flavours along with a bit of fresh grass. It’s got a cracking balance, with plenty of freshness and a long, satisfying finish. Definitely one to savour.
Top food pairings:
"This Sauvignon Blanc is zesty, bright, and full of citrusy freshness. It’s a great go-to for a casual evening or a light lunch. Perfect with seafood, salads, or simply on its own, it’s a refreshing, easy-drinking white that never disappoints!"
Domaine Gayda, nestled in Brugairolles near Carcassonne, is distinguished by a rich history and a philosophy focused on integrity and quality. Founded in 1749 as a coaching inn the farm buildings were gradually transformed into luxury accommodation, marking the beginning of a remarkable transformation. In 2004, under the enlightened leadership of owners Tim Ford and Anthony Record, in partnership with talented winemaker Vincent Chansault, the estate took a new turn by modernizing significantly.
A vibrant, modern Sauvignon that’s both refreshing and characterful – perfect for sunny lunches, seafood platters or spontaneous aperitifs.
