A vibrant and full-bodied red made from organic old-vine Bobal grapes. 

Tasting Note

Packed with juicy berry fruit, spice and personality, this unoaked gem is a pure, expressive take on one of Spain’s most underrated native grapes. Bright flavours of forest fruits, wild strawberry and raspberry leap from the glass, balanced by a touch of liquorice and a whisper of smoky spice. It’s supple, fresh and fruit-forward with lovely depth quality fruit grown on old vines. If you like Tempranillo, give this a try.

Bodegas Nodus is based on the El Renegado estate in Utiel-Requena, around 50 miles inland from Valencia. Founded in 1985 by Adolfo de las Heras and now run by his son, this pioneering organic estate is known for its old Bobal vines, some over 50 years old, and its innovative approach to winemaking. El Renegado is named after the ancient Holm oaks that dot the property – a symbol of the estate’s deep connection to the land.

  • 100% Bobal from 50+ year old vines on the certified organic El Renegado estate
  • Harvested at night or early morning to preserve freshness
  • Fermented at low temperatures with extended maceration
  • Aged without oak to showcase pure fruit character
