Vibrant, volcanic red from Tenerife’s ancient vineyards – a blend of high-altitude plots showing purity, precision and a fine-boned, savoury elegance.
Migan is unlike most reds you’ll have tasted. It’s light in colour but full of energy – bright cherry and redcurrant fruit, earthy spice, and a subtle smoky edge from the volcanic soils of Tenerife’s La Orotava Valley. There's a herbal lift, a whisper of florals, and a salty freshness that makes each sip feel alive. It’s light-bodied but structured, with a stony grip and a long, savoury finish. If you love Burgundy, Etna or Jura reds, this will be right up your street.
This vintage feels a little shy straight out the gate – give it time in the glass (or a decanter) and it reveals beautiful layers of freshness and savoury detail. An expressive, high-altitude example of the local Listán grape Negro that rewards patience and thoughtful drinking.

“This is one of those wines that quietly blows your mind. It’s subtle, but the layers of flavour, the texture, the freshness – it’s all beautifully done. A brilliant example of volcanic terroir captured in a bottle. Wild but precise, and full of character.”
Envínate is a winemaking collective run by four friends who met at oenology school, crafting soulful, site-specific wines from across Spain. Their work in the Canary Islands has become legendary – low-intervention methods, organic farming, and a deep respect for volcanic terroir.
Migan 2020 comes from four plots in the village of La Perdoma – Montijo, Tío Luis, La Habanera and Las Suertes – all sitting on red volcanic soils between 350–600m elevation. Each plot adds its own character, with altitude playing a key role. This vintage sees a shift to higher elevation sites with less clay, boosting finesse and freshness in the final wine.
Grapes are fermented by parcel using native yeasts. 70% of the wine matures in neutral 500–600L French oak barrels, while the portion from Tío Luis is aged in concrete to retain purity. It’s bottled without fining or filtration, and minimal sulphur is used.
The 2020 Migan brings even more precision to what was already a standout wine. It's leaner, brighter, and built to age – a true expression of Tenerife’s unique volcanic terroir. Thoughtful, expressive and quietly thrilling.
