Get to know: Vila Jardim Alvarinho
Tasting Note
A delightful expression of the Albarino grape, showcasing the unique terroir of the Tejo region. Fragrant aromas of orange flower and jasmine, lime zest and green apple. The palate is fresh with good acidity and flavors of ripe citrus, peach, and a touch of minerality lead to a refreshing finish. Perfect for a summer evening.
Ideal with seafood, particularly grilled octopus or shrimp, as well as creamy goat cheese salads.

"I love Albarino, and this example from Tejo is has a lovely floral character and crisp acidity that pairs beautifully with seafood, particularly a classic Portuguese dish like grilled sardines."
Producer Info
Vila Jardim wines are made by Quinta Vale do Armo overlooking the curves of the Tagus River, an exceptional terroir of exposed vineyards inspired by the delicacy of this wine region. Vale do Armo is a brand of true Tagus wines shaped by a temperate Climate, clay-limestone soils and an altitude of 150-250m above seas-level, resulting in wines with a very fruity and smooth character.
As part of the Lindeborg group, Quinta Vale do Armo has a focus on sustainability in all aspect of their business and is in the process of converting to organic production.
In 2005, the estate underwent a modernization process in agriculture with the introduction of national and international grape varieties, the use of sustainable techniques that respect nature and biodiversity. Two years later, with the construction of the winery, it reflected the owner’s desire to produce a proprietary brand that would become one of the main products of the municipality of Sardoal, adopting the same affectionate reference “Vila Jardim,” as the streets and houses of the town are always adorned with flowers, as a hallmark of wines from the Tejo region.
