Chateau Gaubert was taken over by Dominique Havelan in 1981 and is a split of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon 50% Merlot split. The 2010 vintage was responsible for some big, tannic, well structured wines that need a lot of time to age in bottle and so are perfect for cellaring and full of potential. Here in Graves Chateau Gaubert have produced a wine that is classic ins tyle, rich and savoury with red and black fruits, tobacco, sweet spices and toasted oak. This will continue to age for 5+ years or can be enjoyed now with game dishes such as venison with blackberry jus.
