100% Syrah from organic vineyards in the Barossa Valley, fermented naturally in large oak vats and aged for around 14 months in lightly toasted french oak. Everything here is about trying to retain the purity of the fruit and it results in a wine full of bright dark cherries and spicy black olives, a much lighter style of Barossa Shiraz than a lot of others with a really lifted fruit character.
Sigurd wines is focused on natural wines in the Barossa Valley, South Australia. The whole ethos is based around sourcing the best possible organic fruit and having minimal impact on it throughout it's journey into vine to create bright, fresh wines with a true sense of terroir.
Food wise, lamb chops, simply grilled with a few herbs would work a treat and if you wanted to push the boat out a rack of lamb with a herb crust, plenty of garlic and sauteed potatoes sounds like a dream.
