A great value Portuguese red with fresh berry flavours like cassis, cherry and cranberry which follow on to a soft texture on the palate and an appealing fruity finish balanced with hint of liquorice and lick of acidity.
Try this with a cheesy pasta dish.
"I love Portuguese wine and if you've never tried any, this would be a great introduction. It uses the local grape varieties to make a very accessible red with a lot of character. There's bags of berry fruit and 3 months in oak have added a little moreish depth."

They believe in respecting the land they use and that the way the grape varieties can adapt to their mediterranean climate gives them their unique qualities. They are on a misson to bring the wines of the Dao to a wider audience.
