Duluc de Branaire Ducru is made to express the distinctive style of of the estate. This is the second wine of classified growth Chateau Branaire-Ducru, using grapes from mainly the youngest vines on the estate. The 2016 vintage is widely regarded as being an excellent year being warm and dry for nearly the whole summer led to a fantastic concentration of ripeness and tannins.
Made with the same attention to detail as the first wine, with 12 months ageing in French oak barrels. There is intense red and black fruits on the nose with great body, and a hit of black pepper spice. There's great structure with the tannins and acidity well balanced. A great claret to enjoy now or to cellar up to 2024.
