Domaine du Landreau, Cremant de Loire, Esprit 2011
Domaine du Landreau has been in the safe hands of the Morin family for four generations. Located in the heart of the Coteaux du Layon, its vineyards extend over some of the best renowned villages in the South of the Anjou; Saint Lambert-du-Lattay, Saint-Aubin-de-Luigne and Rochefort-sur-Loire.
The grapes of Loire Valley are ideally suited to the production of sparkling wines and are typically characterised by their elegance and fine bubbles.
A blend of Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc and Cabernet Franc grapes that are hand harvested. Traditional method production with secondary fermentation in the bottle. A fruity floral nose with brioche notes from the chardonnay. Bubbles form a regular and fine corolla on the glass. The palate is elegant and fruity, lifted by fresh citrus notes, then balanced with 'roasted' flavours of the chenin.
