Chateau Talbot has a reputation for consistency and carefully made St Julien Cru Classe clarets. The 2005 vintageÂ is heralded as one of the best of the century and produced wines with incredible concentration and structure and the Talbot is no exception. Full of plush, round fruits, black cherries, blackcurrants and then complex notes of sweet spices and vanilla scented cassis. Drinking well now but will continue to age for another 5 years or so yet.Â
The perfect pairing to a roast lamb shoulder with all the trimmings.
