Get to know: Champagne Lete-Vautrain, Cote 204 Brut NV
Tasting Note
A blend of 50% Pinot Meunier, 25% Chardonnay and 25% Pinot Noir. The deep golden hue gives way to aromas that are elegant and pure, complemented by notes of apple, peach and apricot. A well balanced champagne which is complex and round.
Best served as an aperitif.
Kate Says
"We love working with smaller Champagne producers. You get so much more for your money and this is a superb example. The apple and apricot fruit is bright and fresh. It’s complex and round. Gorgeous stuff."
Producer Info
The estate was created in the 1960's in Chateau-Thierry, by Robert and Liliane Vautrain, his wife. They combined their surnames to create its brand. Their eight hectare vineyard, planted on limestone slopes, stretches across the town of Chateau-Thierry and the neighbouring village of Essomes-sur-Marne.
