This wine originates from a single vineyard located in the lower slopes of Estreito de CaÌmara de Lobos. Half of the grapes were harvested a week before full maturation, thus obtaining higher acidity levels. In May 2005, the aging process of this wine started by the traditional Canteiro method, under moderate temperatures in old French oak casks. In December 2015, 3.265 bottles have been filled, all individually numbered.
Serve between 11oC and low room temperature 12oC. This wine was bottled ready for drinking and will keep well several months after opening. Golden color. Toasted wood notes, sultanas, honey, dried flower, caramelized citrus in a smoky background. Smooth texture, bittersweet taste with an elegant and seductive palate. Spiced, long fresh finish. Excellent as an aperitif. Accompanies well olives, toasted almonds and cheese. Very good with starters such tapas and pates.
