This Italian natural red wine is a good introduction to wines made with natural yeasts and minimal intervention in the winery. It has inviting aromas of rich black fruits and spice which follow on to a medium bodied palate. It's unfined and unfiltered and the flavours are clean resulting in a fresh Nero d'Avola that has an underlying richness and intensity.

The Vesco family took over the Ciello winery 10 years ago and have since revolutionised the vineyard practices and invested heavily in cutting edge technology for the winery and bottling line.
Their hundred hectares of organic vineyards are located high up in the hills above Alcamo. The wines are all certified organic and planted on south-east facing slopes on sandy soils 150 – 300m above sea level. The climate is well suited for producing the best quality grapes. Night harvesting and modern temperature controlled fermentations result in a bright, fresh wines.
