What is Sauvignon Blanc?

Sauvignon Blanc is most likely the UK's favourite grape variety. With an explosive mixture of a variety of different tastes and textures, this is a popular choice for lots of different occasions.

What does Sauvignon Blanc wine taste like?

Sauvignon Blanc is grown all over the world, so it can offer a wide range of flavours with tasting notes of:

Gooseberry, cut grass, peach, lime, passion fruit, green pepper

The grape shows juicier, tropical notes in warmer climates. In cooler climates however, Sauvignon Blanc can have more zesty and herbaceous notes. It makes a refreshing style of wine wherever it is grown is often light to medium bodied and dry. Sauvignon Blanc is not often fermented or aged in Oak barrels, though there are some examples.
