Domaine Remi Jeanniard Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes 2021

Get to know: Domaine Remi Jeanniard Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes 2021

Tasting Note

A classic Gevrey-Chambertin red wine with depth and elegance, this wine shows rich red berry fruit, subtle spice, and a touch of earthiness. The old vines add a natural concentration, giving layers of dark cherry, raspberry, and hints of violets. There’s a fine structure with silky tannins and a long, refined finish. A proper Burgundy that’s both complex and easy to love.

Kate Says

“This is the kind of Pinot Noir that makes you stop and appreciate what Burgundy does best. Juicy red fruits, a bit of spice, and a savoury touch that keeps you coming back for another sip. It’s got finesse but also a bit of muscle - ideal for pairing with roast duck or just enjoying on a slow evening.”

Producer Info

Remi Jeanniard runs a small but mighty 7-hectare estate in Morey-St-Denis, crafting wines with minimal intervention and a focus on pure vineyard expression. His Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes comes from 50-year-old vines, adding depth and intensity to the wine. With careful ageing in oak and a light touch in the cellar, his wines are all about balance - fresh, concentrated, and unmistakably Burgundian.
