A red wine from Italy that is made with partially dried grapes. It has a velvety taste and goes well with meat, cheese and pasta dishes. A rich and complex white Rioja that is a great match for turkey or creamy sauces. Elegant, complex French Pinot Noir that can enhance the flavour of poultry, game and mushrooms. Francesc Ricart, Cava Brut NV, 11.5% Spain
One of our favourite sparkling wines, this cava has a brilliant balance of aromatic peach and citrus fruit with the delicate honey and rich toasty depth that gives it a moreish drinkability. - Ideal for bucks fizz or pairing with poached eggs on toast, add a drizzle of truffle honey to up the decadence.
Adegas Laureatus, Reveleste Albarino, 12.5% Spain
Vibrant and zesty with citrus, tropical fruit, very subtle salinity and floral notes. On the palate it is light and fresh with lots of apple, peach, melon, lemon and mango fruit. There's a characteristic energy in the acidity and it leads to a crisp, zippy, dry finish.
Rioja Vega Tempranillo Blanco, 12.5% France
A beautiful take on a traditional white Rioja using an untypical grape from an historic producer. For us, this really delivers that richer, well-balanced style with some complexity that’s really hard to get right, but when it works, it really sings. A treat to enjoy with turkey or salt cod croquettes.
Terres Fideles, Montsable Pinot Noir, 12.5% France, Vegan
An elegant and fresh Pinot Noir from the cooler vineyards in the Haute Vallée d'L'Aude Altitude. Intense dark cherry and blackberry fruit on the nose, a rich round palate with notes of red summer fruits such as raspberry and more blackberry. Nicely integrated oak adds to the structure, and lends a spiciness to the long finish.
Baglio Gibelina, U... Passimiento, 13.5% Italy, Vegan
Gorgeous passimiento red wine that quickly wins over everyone who tries it. Bright intense red fruit on the nose displaying lots of sweet cherry and berry fruit. The palate is warm and full-bodied with harmonious acidity and smooth and elegant tannins. Try this with steak, lamb chops or mild cheeses.
Fonseca Port Bin 27 (37.5cl) (Half-bottle)
Made from a blend of reserve wines. This is intense, rich and fruity nose, full of pure blackberry, cassis, cherry and plum aromas intertwined with hints of spice. Perfect with a good farmhouse cheddar, it is also delicious with desserts made from dark chocolate or berry fruit. Try this with chocolate and berry fruit dishes, like brownie or truffles. It is also an excellent match for soft ripe cheeses.
