Small Cru in the north of Beaujolais, this is fuller and firmer than Fleurie while not quite so big as a Moulin a Vent. A dark redcurrant core with menthol on the finish. Great with cold meats.
This has all the fragrance you would want from a Saint Amour. Bright, ripe and perfumed, a deliciously ripe & succulent example of the Gamay grape.
The best known of the Beaujolais Crus (single village production regions), Fleurie produces light, gentle wines. This has a floral nose with ripe red fruits and a well balanced palate.
A wonderful, more savoury, style of Beaujolais.
