Well hello! This is a complex, contemplative wine full of elegant dark fruits, rich spicy flavours and floral aromas. THe tannins are supple and integrated and oak ageing adds a touch of toastiness. If the recently enjoyed 2000 is anything to go by, this is well worth laying down for a few years!

Tasmania's cooler climate makes it far more suitable for Pinot Noir than the Australian mainland, and who better to make it than the region's pioneer, Andrew Pirie. The Estate Pinot has a seductive, typically Pinot nose, with a medium palate with rich fruits and distinct oak flavours (the most noticeable on any of our new world Pinots).
