Truly one of the best value Spatleses in Germany - great now, but well worth keeping a couple of years to broaden out and become the fleshy, exciting beast that it wants to be.

This Riesling from the banks of the river Mosel is made with very late harvested graps for a true medium style. Bottle age and a very good vintage adds complexity and that classic 'petrol' nose

Spatlese denotes a late harvested wine, which is generally off dry in style, but certainly not lacking in acidity - and this truly is an awesome wine with classic petrol aromas and great fruit flavours

Kabinett from a warm year, so with a little more residual sugar than usual - but still with all the petrolly minerality, acidic lime fruit and floral aromas you'd expect.

Ernst Loosen acquired this estate in 1996 and turned it from a dilapidated vineyard back into a quality peice of land. Now it produces some stunning wines, including this food-friendly, dry, full bodied Pinot Gris

Declassified Grand Cru vineyards on the slate soils of the lower Mosel valley produce this dry, flinty Riesling with great complexity and lots of ageing potential.
