Burgundy

Biodynamically farmed white Burgundy which is totally brilliant. Pineapple and butter on the nose, the palate is full bodied with a spicy, toasty feel. More butter and tropical fruits, hints of nut and caramel, maybe even Pecan. This is complex and interesting.

A very characterful Chablis. Great minerality and apple fruits but with a soft palate and lifted nose which has those intriguing hints of parmesan cheese. This is a good thing, honest!

Aligote is Burgundy's second (and rarely used) white grape. Often over-acidic, Perraud manage this beautifully, turning out a mineral yet creamy white with hints of sweetcorn (seriously!).

The most luscious and powerful of Bessin's wines. This Chablis comes from a small, 2 hectare vineyard and shows complex fruit flavours and a superb acidic bite. Will age very well.

This is how Chabis should be. Mineral, seductive and slightly creamy; divine!

Full, fat and rounded with opulent tropical fruits, this is a classy wine from a classy producer.

Vincent is a friend of Paul Jacquesson's and has transformed his family domaine. This is deep and rich with buttery oak balancing bell-clear fruit with a tropical finish.

Superlative wine with brilliant minerality from a producer who has come around to the idea that less is more. Rich, buttery oak on the nose with a steely palate and lots of acidity.
