Burgundy

Alain only has a tiny holding but is producing great wine from it. This has a clean palate with good minerality, leading to a bright, fruity finish.

Biodynamically farmed white Burgundy which is totally brilliant. Pineapple and butter on the nose, the palate is full bodied with a spicy, toasty feel. Black butter and tropical fruits, hints of nut and caramel, maybe even Pecan. This is complex and interesting with a real terroir character.

Characterful and complex, I love this Chablis. Great minerality and apply fruits but with a soft palate and lifted nose which has those legendary hints of parmesan cheese. This is a good thing, honest!

Aligote is Burgundy's second (and rarely used) white grape. Often over-acidic, Perraud manage this beautifully, turning out a mineral yet creamy white which is perfect for Chablis lovers

Superlative wine with brilliant minerality from a producer who has come around to the idea that less is more. Rich, buttery oak on the nose with a stelly palate and lots of acidity. Perhaps a touch young - will blossom in summer 2010.
