Chateau la Roche Gaby
This is from Canon Fronsac, an area on the right bank in Bordeaux, close to Saint Emilion, which is often overlooked, and until recently this was the case at Reserve too. However, I took a bottle home on a whim and LOVED it! Beautifully made, Merlot-dominated claret at a really fantastic price.
We'll soon be moving on to the 2004 vintage, which I tasted last week and retains the good value (although it's a touch more expensive - isn't everything these days?) and we've also got the property's top wine Chateau du Gaby in the pipeline. Truly a dark horse coming into the light!
